Our organization relies solely on volunteers to function effectively.

We currently have the following positions open:

​

  • Volunteer Coordinator: Approximately 1-2 hour commitment per month

    • Solicit “Volunteer Spotlight” articles from current volunteers for newsletter

    •  email them to newsletter editor by the 15th of the month before newsletter is published

    • Update list of current open volunteer roles and email to the newsletter editor by 15th of the month before newsletter is published.

    • Maintain Google docs list of current volunteers and contact info. 

    • Respond to requests from Board or committee chairs to fill volunteer roles being vacated or created. This requires making individual contacts with current volunteers who may be waiting for roles or folks in your network who you think may like to become involved. Generally, get the word out through listserv, social media sites, newsletter, and direct asks. Communicate with the person requesting the volunteer about your progress.

    • Screen and match prospective volunteers with open roles. This may involve a phone conversation for intro positions, or sending them to a committee chair or Board members for screening if the position is higher level. Communicate with the President and work as a team to make appropriate placements.

    • Orient new volunteers: email the Board to introduce and welcome them, invite them to the next chapter meeting to meet them in person, coordinate with the current volunteer in the role to make sure they contact and train the new person.

  • Newly Licensed Support Chair

  • Outreach Chair

  • Newsletter designer: gather information for the bi-monthly SF CAMFT newsletter. Create the publication in wix and send to all the members. Approx 3-5 hours every two months. If you have a knack for writing and love design, please take this role into consideration.

  • Vice President: attend bi-monthly board meetings (aproximately 2-3 hours commitment per month)

    • Presents the Board with a proposed schedule of the annual slate of speakers, trainings, and other events not owned by another committee, in coordination with Program Chair/Committee.

    • Send CE form to trainers and ensure compliance

    • Oversees the full range of tasks related to CEPA compliance from ensuring the documentation is correct, keeping records of trainings and attendance, and completing periodic renewal process as a CE provider. Acts as CE Administrator for contact with state CAMFT.

    • For CE training events, work with CEU Coordinator (Volunteer) to create CEPA-compliant course evaluations and CE Certificates for issuing to participants

    • Collaborates with Volunteer Coordinator to recruit volunteers for greeter, facilitation or master of ceremony roles at chapter events. Leads this team, may serve in one of its roles.  

    • In cooperation with committees or board assigned individuals: researches, develops and proposes to the board relevant chapter policies and procedures.

    • Assists with developing sponsorship opportunities and other ways for the chapter to generate revenue.

    • Other duties as assigned by the President and/or the Board of Directors.
