Volunteer with SFCAMFT

Volunteering with SFCAMFT offers an exciting opportunity to connect, grow, and thrive within a vibrant community of professionals.

It's more than just service—it's a chance to build lasting friendships, expand your network, and foster meaningful relationships with like-minded individuals who share your passion for mental health. By getting involved, you'll have access to exclusive trainings, enriching social events, and opportunities for both personal and professional development. Plus, being part of an organization that actively promotes growth and learning makes the experience rewarding and fun. Join us, and contribute to shaping the future of our community!

Our organization relies solely on volunteers to function effectively.

We currently have the following positions open:

Board Member Treasurer.  This role is great for our therapist friends with a strong attention to detail and enjoys managing money. Do remember that this role comes with a lot of support from other board members. In general the tasks include:

  • Attend board meetings (approximately 5 per year)

  • Manage Access to Chapter Bank Account

  • Deposit checks and cash, pay Bills/invoices

  • Meet with outside accountant/CPA monthly

  • Maintain and oversee use of Debit/Credit Card

  • Share financial updates at Board meetings

  • Prepare Annual Budget & Reports

  • Review and update Savings Account Reserve Policy (coordination with state CAMFT)

Other roles that we are interested in filling (with less urgency than our treasurer role!):  Board Member Vice President, and a Volunteer Mentor Program Coordinator.

If you'd like to get involved, email us at sfcamft@gmail.com
