About the event
Workshop Overview:
This interactive virtual workshop is designed for specialists exploring how bias and microaggressions can show up in professional spaces and relationships, including within therapeutic settings. Led by a clinical yoga therapist and yoga teacher, this session takes a holistic and reflective approach to building awareness of how our experiences, assumptions, and interactions can impact the people we serve.
Through guided reflection, group dialogue, and case study exploration, participants will gain tools to notice, name, and respond to micro aggressions—whether they arise from others or within themselves. The workshop will also explore how awareness of bias can support more inclusive, attuned, and mindful interactions with clients, colleagues, and the broader community.
Workshop Goals:
Build Awareness: Recognize different types of bias and micro aggressions and their impact on professional relationships.
Practice Reflection: Explore personal experiences and assumptions through guided reflection and group dialogue.
